All saves should be a few seconds away from victory and just require you to sit back or kill a last unit etc.
I've also got the 'Ace's High' achievement save with 0 novas used. For anyone who's having trouble with getting these saves to work on 1.2.2 I've uploaded my own campaign saves (almost all, I forgot to save at the end of a few missions).
